Materials Analysis Overview
To submit a sample for analysis, download our: Materials Analysis Requisition form
Materials Analysis will identify an unknown or confirm the composition of a known sample. We perform materials analysis and testing for a wide range of industries and sample types, including:
- Scale precipitates
- Corrosion products and sludges
- Drilling mud
- Produced solids
- Pipeline material and soils
- Alteration and corrosion on metallurgical samples
- Frac sand and formation sand
- Metallurgical composition, failures, etc.
- Silica
- Welding
- Fibres and filters
- Any unknown material
Analytical Methods:
We use a variety of analytical methods so we can tell you what you need to know about your sample:
- X-Ray Diffraction (XRD)
- XRD+
- Elemental Analysis by EDS
- Particle Size Distribution (PSD)
- Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM)
- Elemental Mapping
- Elemental Linescan
- Optical Microscopy
Sample Types:
Our experience includes a wide variety of sample types:
